I guess we will give blogging another try. Life has been great. We have had some major changes. Ones that we never thought we would. Dustin decided that it was time to leave his current place of employment after 10 years and do something new. So after much fasting and prayer we jumped in with both feet. It has been a great thing, even if he is work swing shift and gone at night. We still manage to have plenty of family time, and hopefully he will be going back to school in the fall. We had a wonderful Christmas and are excited to see what 2011 will bring including......A New Addition to our family arriving in Aug!( We couldn't be happier!!! We are sure it is going to be another little boy and are excited to have a house full of them :)

Gavin turns the big #3

I no longer have a "baby"... :( Gavin turned the big 3 on Aug 1st. He is such an active little boy, but is also very sweet. Always loving to give hugs and kisses. He just had to be Darth Vader for his party and how cute is he! He loved that the whole day revolved around him and especially loved his presents. We love you Gavin.

1 yr old birthday

A California Summer!!

Yet another trip to California. This has been our vacation spot for the last year since Angela moved there. We love every minute that we get to spend there. Jen and I once again loaded the kids in the car and made our way there. We did a ton of swimming in her pool and made several trip to the beach and I don't believe that we slept at all including the kids :) We even roasted hot dogs and smore's on the beach.
What a way to spend the summer :)














Our last Beach trip was to Huntington Beach. We walked the long Pier and at the end is a place to eat called Ruby's which is an old 50's style diner. The kids loved it! Jaxon and his Eagle eyes spotted this String ray from the Pier out in the ocean. It was crazy to see sea life that close in all that open water. We had the best time and I can't wait to go again next summer, you know we have to make it a tradition :)






This pic is last but NOT LEAST!! We had a not so fun adventure on the way home which took an extra 2 hour. Needless to say to women are not much help to each other when something goes wrong. But at least there is always Duct Tape :) One day we just might laugh about it but not yet.

6 years old!

I can't believe that my little boy is 6. He is everything that makes a mom proud, yes of course he has his moments but they are far and few between. I have always said that everyone needs a "Carter". This year he decided on a Carnival Birthday party and it turned out to be alot of fun. Good thing we had some help from our wonderful clown Mckenna. She was a crack up and enjoyed every minute of it and Jaxon was a great help with the games. We had cotton candy poles, popcorn, and the best snowcones. The day before his birthday Jaxon went down the street to a neighbors garage sale and found this lego table. It didn't have any legs but he came home and said he wanted to buy it for Carter and asked if his dad would help him put some legs on it. I think he paid 4 dollars for it and I really think it was the gift Carter liked best. What a great big brother!

Another year has come and gone with school. Every year I am amazed at what Carter learns and I am so proud of him. Yet every year I am a little sad that he has to grow up. He loved Kindergarten and cried and begged to do it over, if only he could stay 6 forever. I am sure he will love 1st grade just as much.

What a great day mothers day was. Dustin had taken the 3 boys to get there pictures out to his grandparents farm. They turned out so sweet I love them. I was papmered the rest of the day. Gotta love those faces.
